Agressive Security Made Attendees Feel Unwelcome
Usually I feel a child-like exuberance as I drive into the Gorge, and that feeling continues until the minute I leave. For Magnifique however, Live Nation went out of their way to squash any excitement I might have had by stopping every car entering the camp without warning or probable cause to completely search every bag in the vehicle and give everyone in my group a pat down so invasive it would give TSA a hard-on. This included aggressively groping the females in the group to check for contraband hidden in their bras (there wasn't any), to the point that my normally laid-back friends were visibly upset.
We didn't bring any banned items with us, and the teardown of our vehicle didn't find anything of concern but we still got to be treated like criminals for 20 minutes while security tore through all our personal items in full view of dozens of strangers.
If this is the new normal for shows at the Gorge, Live Nation should A) be transparent about the safety measures it plans to put in place ("all vehicles subject to search" doesn't come close to an accurate disclaimer for this kind of treatment), and B) prepare to lose a lot of previously loyal customers. Thanks for making us feel at home!
